Just watched your triggernometry episode… I have never heard anyone else with a story so like my own who is also a Christian. I’ve had the same comment made to me by a pastor that I’m great to have around in a crisis cos I think so clearly and unemotionally.
Thank you so much for speaking out about this! I am autistic and can relate a lot to your experiences in that I have never felt that I fit in much with women because of my lack of empathy and analytical mind. In grade three, I began asking people to call me by a boy's name, but thankfully, none of the adults in my life did. I truly think that if my parents did not raise me to have a strong Christian faith, I would have transitioned and ended up regretting it.
Found you on Triggernometry. You have a fascinating story, very well told. You dodged a bullet, I believe. And whether they know it or not, you speak for thousands of girls. I also believe your insights will help others.
I am seeking to understand gender dysphoria, though that is not my personal lived experience. Your post was recommended to me and I have found it so very helpful - thank you, Sophie, and keep on doing what you're doing - but most of all, keep on growing closer to Jesus, our loving Saviour and Lord :)
Oh Sophie, this article is so moving! It's so good to hear how you have been loved by the church and I'm really excited to hear how God uses this to bring hope to others.
Listened to your triggernometry interview and I was really moved by how you spoke about your faith, and of other Christians in your life who managed to strike a good balance between Truth and Grace. Well done! I look forward to hearing more from you.
Incredible. Sophie you're going to be such a blessing to so many, many of whom you'll never have the pleasure of meeting or hearing from. Your story is out there now, let it do its work. I'm so glad I got to know you all those years ago, and I'm thankful that others now have the opportunity to do so too.

Hey Rachel, it's scary how much we're alike. Praise God for faithful Christian parents! xxx

Thanks so much. Indeed, I really feel I dodged a bullet! I hope I can reach many girls to tell them there's another way x
